Is it safe to pay on your website?

Yes. We use Stripe for all online payments. Your card is encrypted end-to-end and processed on Stripe’s secure servers—we never store your full card number.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are processed securely by Stripe (not directly by us). We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, and China UnionPay. On supported devices, you can also pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
We also accept PayPal.
For international guests, local card networks (e.g., Cartes Bancaires in France, Interac in Canada) may be supported depending on your card and device.

Is it cheaper to book here than on Airbnb/VRBO?

Yes—there are no third-party service fees. Booking direct keeps more money in your pocket.

When is check-in/check-out?

Check-in: 4:00 PM · Check-out: 10:00 AM.
(These times align with what you’ll see on Airbnb/VRBO.)

Can I check in early?

Often possible when there’s no same-day check-out. Please ask the day before arrival so we can confirm with our cleaning team. If approved, we’ll share your new check-in time.

How close is Coastal Haven to the beach?

About 0.25 miles. Two golf carts are included, and there’s prepaid beach-access parking for both carts.

Do you provide linens, towels, and starter supplies?

Yes—hotel-style linens and bath towels, plus a starter set of paper goods, trash bags, dish pods, and basic soaps. (Beach towels and consumables beyond the starter set are guest-provided.)

Is the home wheelchair friendly?

Coastal Haven: includes an elevator. If accessibility is important, please message us for door/clearance measurements and bathroom details.
Mountain Haven (Gatlinburg): not wheelchair friendly.

Do you allow pets?

We don’t typically allow pets, but well-behaved dogs may be approved case-by-case with a non-refundable $100 fee per dog.
Requirements:

  • Prior approval required (breed, age, shedding profile).

  • Fully house-trained, non-shedding, and hypoallergenic only.

  • Keep dogs off furniture/bedding; crate when unattended.

  • Pick up waste and follow local leash rules.

  • Any extra cleaning/damage will be billed at cost.
    Note: Verified service animals are always welcome in accordance with applicable laws. Please notify us in advance so we can prepare the home.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

No smoking or vaping inside. Smoke only in designated outdoor areas and dispose of waste safely.

Are security cameras present?

Exterior-only cameras monitor entrances, pool, and driveway for safety. No interior cameras.

Who can drive the golf carts? (North Myrtle Beach only)

A licensed, insured driver age 16+ may operate the carts. Please observe local rules, designated routes, and posted parking.
Local rule: Children under 12 must wear a seat belt when riding in a golf cart on a public road. (Seat belts are installed—please use them.)

Where can I park the golf carts for the beach? (North Myrtle Beach only)

We include prepaid beach-access parking; details and the exact lot location are in your digital guidebook.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • 60+ days before arrival: 100% refund of paid prepayments

  • 30–59 days before arrival: 50% refund of paid prepayments

  • Fewer than 30 days: 0% refundable

What if I booked through Airbnb/VRBO?

Those bookings follow the platform’s cancellation terms shown at checkout on that site. For the best price and the policy above, book directly on Haven-Vacation.com. (Platform cancellation/refund policies are often stricter than booking direct.)

Damage hold

A $500 card hold (pre-authorization) is placed 1 day after arrival and voided 3 days after departure if no issues. No money leaves your card unless needed.

Do you recommend travel insurance?

Yes. Travel insurance can protect your trip if unexpected events occur outside the refund windows.
